Pre-designed tours

You have the option of taking one of our pre-designed tour itineraries and driving yourself (self-guided) or going on a private escorted tour with a local guide. The itinerary price of $295 will be credited against the cost of your escorted tour if you book it through us.

Our escorted pre-designed tours are very different from the norm. For a start, they’re completely private. You (and your party) will be our only guests on your chosen tour. Second, the pace is unhurried. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy every literary site and immerse yourself in the writer’s world. Our tours also take you to important non-literary sites, plus film and TV locations.

The tours have been thoughtfully put together by our expert staff. However, we’re flexible. England is a small country: nowhere is very far from anywhere else. So it’s easy to modify a tour itinerary to include whatever you prefer to see and do.

On an escorted tour your itinerary can even be adjusted en route. Each evening we’ll review the next day’s plan and make changes as you wish. We’ll stop for lunch or tea per your preferences. For dinner we’ll help you find the type of eating establishment and food you like (from country pub to fine cuisine). Then you’ll bed down for the night at the same place as much as possible – using it as a base to explore the surrounding area – in order to minimize the bother of packing and unpacking.
